Storms Knock Out Power To Nearly 100,000 North Texans

(Fort Worth, Tx) – Oncor says they are working to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses in North and Central Texas.

At one point during the early morning storms, around 100,000 were without power.   Nearly 50,000 of the outages were in Tarrant County, over 1,700 in Johnson County, another 2,200 in Ellis County, 1,200 in Parker County and about 660 in Palo Pinto County.

There were no reports of outages in Hood, Erath or Somervell County so far.  Oncor says they hope to have most of the power restored before noon, it could be up to 3:00 this afternoon for areas of Tarrant County.

This morning, DFW airport reported 104 flight delays and 15 cancellations.
