Southwest And American Deal With The Grounding Of Planes

(Dallas, TX) —  Southwest Airlines and American Airlines are both complying with a government order to ground all Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Dallas-based Southwest said the order affects 34 jets in its 750-aircraft fleet, and Fort Worth-based American reported that 24 of its more than 15-hundred planes were grounded.  Passengers on affected jetliners can seek full refunds or rebook on other flights for free.

President Trump issued the order yesterday, following two fatal crashes overseas.
