(Dallas, TX)  —  Several dozen people from 22 countries are now new U.S. citizens, and were welcomed aboard by former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura.

Nearly 50 people took the Oath of Allegiance in a naturalization ceremony at the George W. Bush Institute at Southern Methodist University on Monday morning.  Even though the ceremony was at the Bush Center, the new Americans didn’t expect the former First Couple to greet them.
