JPS Hospital Signs New Elevator Company

(Fort Worth, TX) — John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth has a new elevator service company after firing the previous one.

The managers’ board of the Tarrant County Hospital District unanimously approved a five-year deal with SW Elevators to maintain the 51 elevators at JPS Health Network. JPS canceled the contract with its previous elevator service company because of safety concerns.

In January, a JPS nurse was critically injured by a malfunctioning elevator. The new contract takes effect in the middle of May.
