(El Paso, TX) — Two new tent cities are scheduled to open within a couple of weeks in south Texas to help handle the influx of illegal immigrants.
Each of the temporary detention centers will be able to house up to 500 people. The Border Patrol says the ongoing large numbers of people crossing the border, mostly from Central America, is making the extra processing space necessary immediately. The two new centers will be in El Paso and the town of Donna.
