(Fort Worth, TX) —  A 21 year old man is under arrest in connection with the killing of a former Aledo High School football star.

Fort Worth police say Kevin Sanders was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Bedford Sunday night.  Officers say Sanders shot and killed 18-year-old Donald Evans last month during a fight outside an apartment complex on Sycamore School and Crowley Roads in South Fort Worth.

Evans was a freshman at Tyler Junior College at the time of his killing.  Evans was a Running Back for the Bearcats from 2014-2015 and was featured in Season 1 of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s video documentary series called Titletown, Tx.
