(Southlake, TX)  —  A Southlake couple will each do seven years in prison for keeping an African woman enslaved for 16 years.

Mohamed and Denise Toure brought a 5 year old girl to Texas from a village in Guinea in 2000.   She lived in their home and had to work for them without being paid.  Prosecutors say the Toures abused the woman physically, verbally and emotionally until she escaped in 2016.  The Toures were convicted in January of forced labor and harboring an alien.
