Officer Walks From NRH To Austin To Honor Fallen Cops

(North Richland Hills, TX) — A North Texas police sergeant will be walking for a week to honor fallen police officers.

North Richland Hills Police Sgt. Brent Wright is walking 163 miles in memory of the 163 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2018. Wright says 52 of them were shot, but a great many also died in traffic accidents.

Wright’s walk coincides with Texas Police Week, and it ends at the Texas Peace Officer Memorial in Austin.
