UTA Frat Chapter Suspended Over Hazing Incident

(Arlington, TX) — A local chapter of a national fraternity is suspended, effective immediately.

The Sigma Chi frat on the University of Texas Arlington campus is under suspension because of a hazing incident that was reported in late March. Police investigated after a student was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.

The Sigma Chi executive committee suspended the UTA chapter over violations of the frat’s alcohol policies and failure to follow pledge program properly.
