(Peaster, Tx) – Peaster voters narrowly rejected a $16 million bond election for the school district on Saturday, with 51% of the vote against the measure.
Peaster ISD Superintendent Matt Adams said he was disappointed with the election results. If approved, the bond proposal would have gone to construct a new wing on Peaster Junior High to house 5th and 6th grade students in order to free up space at the elementary school, in addition to a new 500 seat gymnasium and a new athletic fieldhouse for sports teams.
