Fort Worth Boy Dies After Impalement On Fence

(Fort Worth, TX) — An 11 year old Fort Worth boy is dead after accidentally impaling himself on a fence on Monday evening.

Police say several kids climbed over a fence with a locked gate to get into the pool area at the Ladera Palm Apartments across from O-D Wyatt High School. When the security guard told them to get out, they jumped back over the fence. Jean-Pierre Mwenge lost his balance and fell onto an iron fence post.

He later died at a nearby hospital.
