Heavy Rains Close Roads And A Lake

(Fort Worth, Tx.) – Heavy rains flooded roadways and even shut down a North Texas lake this morning.

Fort Worth Fire Department tweeted around 10am that they were currently working 12 highwater calls and two major accidents because of the flooding.  Several roads in south Fort Worth had to be closed for high water during the mid morning.  Johnson County EMS tweeted pictures of a very full Brazos River and said  CR 615 was closed due to flooding.

The City of Fort Worth announced the closure of Lake Worth and all boat ramps due to high water levels on the lake.
