(Fort Worth, TX) — An 18-year-old former Arlington ISD student faces up to 20 years in federal prison for trying to help foreign terrorists.
Michael Sewell entered a guilty plea guilty on Wednesday morning to a charge of conspiracy to provide material support to the Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Sewell had talked with undercover agents posing as members of a terror group and tried to recruit new members for the organization. He could also be fined up to 250-thousand-dollars.
Sewell will be sentenced in August in Fort Worth.
