Fort Worth HOA Orders Couple To Move Their Ice Cream Truck

(Fort Worth, TX) — A homeowner’s association in Fort Worth is ordering a couple to get an ice cream truck out of their driveway.

Kelsey Briones and Joe Sanchez-Trapp bought the 1984 postal truck, gave it a festive paint job, and started selling ice cream in the neighborhood to make extra money. It’s too big to fit in their garage, so they’ve parked it in the driveway for a year with no problem. But then the Hulen Heights HOA ordered them to move the truck by May 30th because it violates a rule against parking commercial vehicles.

The couple says either a lawyer or a storage space would present affordability problems.
