Baby Giraffe Born At Fort Worth Zoo

(Fort Worth, TX) — There’s a tall newborn at the Fort Worth Zoo.

A giraffe was born at the zoo on Monday, bringing the zoo’s total giraffe herd to eight animals. Zookeepers don’t yet know the baby’s sex. They’re keeping an eye on the early bonding between the baby and its mom, Kala.

The calf isn’t on public display just yet, but zoo officials say they’ll announce it when the time comes.
