(Granbury, Tx) – A confusing interchange has prompted Granbury Police Chief Mitch Galvan to ask the Texas Department of Transportation to add better road signs for the Highway 377 eastbound lanes near Black’s Pawn Shop.

That’s where 377 merges from a divided highway into one four lane road.  Galvan told the Hood County News that “Most people don’t know how that intersection is supposed to work”.  He says “Most people coming off Pearl Street think that it’s a merge lane when it is not. It’s actually a left-turn lane for eastbound traffic on 377, and the drivers coming off Pearl are required to stop to yield.”  A minor accident occurred there Sunday afternoon.

No word yet on TxDOT’s response to the Chief’s request.
