(Austin, TX)  —  Dirk Nowitzki received at lot of praise from Texas Governor Greg Abbott at the state Capitol.

During a visit to the State Legislature Tuesday, Abbott called the Big German the best player in Dallas Mavericks history and one of the best NBA players in history.  Nowitzki was given a resolution honoring his work in the Metroplex over the last 20 years.  He retired from the NBA last month.
