(Austin, TX) — A bill to raise the smoking age in Texas to 21 is on its way back to the Senate, after receiving final approval in the House on Wednesday.
The bill raises the legal age to buy, possess or use tobacco and e-cigarettes from 18 to 21. The Senate approved the bill earlier, and will now consider minor changes made by the House membership. The bill would exempt active military members stationed in Texas who are at least 18 years old.
