(Fort Worth, TX) — A Tarrant County man is headed to prison for 47 years, for his part in a 2017 robbery and hostage situation.
Prosecutors say 39-year-old Timothy Scoggins and an accomplice broke into a Southlake home by pretending they were looking for a lost dog. The two robbers tied up a woman and her son, then ransacked the home for jewelry and other valuables. They ended up fleeing after one of the victims broke free.
Police have never found the accomplice.
