(Richland Hills, Tx) – Tragedy struck a Richland Hills family when their 1 year old child was accidentally run over by the family vehicle.

Richland Hills Police say it happened Thursday night at a home on Popplewell Street.  The parents told officers they were moving a trailer in the backyard of the home and didn’t realize their 13 month old child was behind the truck pulling the trailer.  The child was accidentally struck by the moving vehicle

The child was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and later died.  Investigators believe the incident was a tragic accident and no criminal charges are expected to be filed against anyone involved.
