(Austin, TX) — A day of statewide free fishing is coming up on Saturday.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says the first Saturday in June every year is Free Fishing Day, when fishermen can wet a hook even if they don’t have a fishing license. The occasion kicks off National Fishing and Boating Week.
More info about Free Fishing Day can be found at Texas Parks and Wildlife’s web site, along with the location of your nearest fishing hole.
