(Wise County, Tx) – A custody hearing was scheduled to take place this week to determine the fate of four children found living in filthy conditions at a home in Wise County last February.

Responding to a domestic call, Sheriff’s Deputies discovered a 5-year-old girl and 3 boys between the ages of 1 to 4 in a shed like structure.  Authorities said the kids were malnourished and covered in feces and that two of them were locked in a dog kennel.  A Wise County judge will now decide if the children stay in foster care or go live with relatives.

Their parents, Andrew Fabila and Paige Harkings both face four counts of child endangerment.
