(Austin, TX) —  Texas is legalizing the use of brass knuckles and clubs in self-defense as of September 1st.

A House bill noted that the state’s previous ban on these items was “unnecessary and outdated,” since they pose no danger to the public.  The bill passed unanimously, and Gov. Greg Abbott signed it into law.
