(Austin, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott signs several bills to increase safety at Texas schools.
The governor held a signing ceremony at the State Capitol yesterday, calling it a compassionate team effort to protect schools. Supporters are hoping to bring more emotional counseling on school campuses, mainly through telemedicine. The bills also allow schools to have as many school marshals as they want.
The bills were put together after ten people were killed over a year ago at Santa Fe High School.
