(Georgetown, TX)  —  Granger Smith is grieving after the death of his youngest son.

The Dallas-born country star posted Thursday on social media that doctors could not revive River Kelly Smith after the boy drowned.  Granger Smith says his son’s organs have been donated to help other children and called the three-year-old a special person who brought joy to others.

He is asking people to make donations to Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin in River’s name instead of sending flowers or gifts.
