(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines is grounding its Boeing 737 MAX jets through September 3rd.
In April, the Fort Worth based carrier originally grounded the jets through August 19th. The company says the extension will give staff and customers more time to plan upcoming travel on the airline. American said about 115 daily flights are affected. The 737 MAX has been grounded worldwide since March after two fatal crashes.
Boeing has made software changes, but the FAA and its global counterparts haven’t signed off on the fixes.
