(Fort Worth, TX) — The mother of a Fort Worth teen who claimed he was too wealthy to know right from wrong is now asking for financial assistance.

Ethan Couch, often called the “Affluenza Teen”, killed four people in a 2013 drunk driving incident in Burleson, served 2 years in jail for probation violation and is now on supervised release.  His mother Tonya Couch is in jail for probation violations on charges of hindering apprehension of a felon and money laundering.

Last week, she pleaded with the court, saying the notoriety of the case has kept her from getting a steady job.  Couch says the only thing she has to her name is a truck worth no more than $2,000.
