(Mansfield, Tx) – Mansfield police are investigating an officer-involved shooting at an IHOP on Hwy. 287 near Debbie Lane early Tuesday morning.

Police say around 3am, a man with a gun went inside the restaurant and started waiving it around frightening the customers.  Officers reportedly confronted the man and told him to drop the weapon.  When he refused their commands, they shot him.

The suspect was reportedly taken to the hospital in critical condition.
