(Weatherford, Tx) – A Weatherford woman and her unborn child have died following a head-on collision Sunday afternoon on FM 51 north of town.

22-year-old Kaylin M. Wells was a passenger in a car headed southbound near Bagget Road, when another car drifted out of the northbound lane and struck the car she was riding in.  According to the Dept of Public Safety, Wells and another passenger, a 2-year-old boy in the car were taken to a Fort Worth hospital where she died a short time later.  The driver of the car that hit Wells’ 23-year-old Joshua Laposky of Weatherford was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No word yet if any charges will be filed, the DPS says the crash is still under investigation.
