(Austin, TX) — A new poll says registered voters in Texas are evenly split on whether to reelect President Trump in 2020.
The University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll released Monday found 39-percent say they’d definitely vote to reelect Trump, with 11-percent saying they probably would. Another 43-percent say they definitely will not vote for him, and 7-percent say they probably won’t. The margin of error is plus or minus about three points.
Observers point out that the election is still a long way off, and Democratic voter turnout in Texas is historically lower than Republican.
