(Corsicana, TX)  —  A new Hollywood movie is in the planning stages that will be based on the embezzlement scandal at Corsicana’s Collin Street Bakery.

Former employee Sandy Jenkins was found to have stolen nearly 17-million-dollars from the bakery in 2013.  Will Ferrell has signed on to play Jenkins, and Laura Dern will play the role of his wife Kay.  Filming on the movie, titled “Fruitcake,” is set to start early next year.

The location hasn’t been chosen yet, but the producers say they hope to be able to shoot it in Texas.
