(Fort Worth, Tx) – Sunday night’s storms caused major damage to Eagle Mountain Marina on Eagle Mountain Lake in Northwest Tarrant County.

When the storms hit around 9pm, strong winds made the dock at the marina to shift causing significant damage to the structure and the boats to stack up against each other.  According to the Tarrant Regional Water District, no one was seriously injured and electricity to the marina was shut off as a precaution.  On the other side of the spillway, Augie’s Sunset Café also sustained some wind damage.

Wind gusts during the storm were up to 69 mph.  No word yet on a dollar amount on the damage to the marina.  Eagle Mountain Marina posted on Facebook that they would be closed until further notice and that boats housed at the marina would be moved over to Lake Country Marina for safe keeping.
