Suicide Not Suspected In Death Of Angels Pitcher

(Southlake, TX) — Investigators do not suspect suicide in the death of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs.

Southlake police found the 27-year-old dead in his North Texas hotel room Monday afternoon. Details are sketchy, but investigators have also ruled out foul play. The Angels were set to face the Texas Rangers in the first of a four-game series, but Monday’s game was postponed.

The rest of the series is planned to go on as scheduled starting today, but that decision is subject to change.
