Triple-A Texas Offering Tipsy Tow Independence Day

(Undated) — Triple-A Texas is offering a tipsy tow service for people out celebrating Independence Day.

A spokesperson says the free service will be available starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday in hopes of keeping drunk drivers off the roads. There is a ten-mile limit and people will have to agree to pay any overages with the tow truck contractor. People can either call or ask a friend, bartender, restaurant manager, or passenger to call 1-800-222-4357 for the service.

Tipsy Tow is only available to people being taken home or to a hotel where they’re registered.
