(Stephenville, Tx) – A 16-year-old boy has died in what Stephenville police say was an accidental drowning.

According to the Stephenville Empire Tribune, the teen was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at the Oak Tree West apartment complex around 8:30 Friday night.  Police say bystanders and first responders tried to revive the boy before he was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.  Although the incident remains under investigation, no foul play is suspected.
