Arlington Man Gets 60 Years For Raping UTA Student

(Arlington, TX) — An Arlington man is going to be spending 60 years behind bars for the rape of a UTA student.

A Tarrant County judge handed down the sentence for Joel Mambe today after he admitted in April to attacking the woman. Police say Mambe held the victim up at gunpoint, then forced her to give money and sexually assaulted her last year. He was arrested about 24 hours after the attack.
