(Comanche, Tx) – All four campuses in the Comanche ISD were closed today after a water main break shut down water throughout the city.

Comanche posted on Facebook:  Due to a break in a 16” water line, ALL CISD schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20.  As of now, the district says they school will resume on Wednesday, August 21. Should those plans change, we will update here on Facebook and by school messenger.  There will be no JH athletic practices tomorrow for boys or girls. We will resume practices when we return to school.

The city also posted on social media:  At 4:00 A.M. August 20, 2019 the puncture in the City of Comanche water main was repaired.  The city also issued a boil water notice and offered residents free clean drinking water from trucks parked at the town square starting at 7:30 this morning.  Telling residents that you must bring your own water containers.  The city added that there are portable restrooms on the square if needed.

According to Comanche County Judge Stephanie L. Davis, the Comanche County Courthouse and Annex will also be closed today
