(Stephenville, Tx) – Tarleton State University showed off their improved football stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 20, with the grand opening of the new $26 million Lonn Reisman Athletic Center at Memorial Stadium.

The expansion increases the seating capacity from 7,000 to 10,000, adding luxury suites and a large press box in a four-story structure on the west side of the stadium.  The new addition makes the stadium the tallest structure in Stephenville.  The Texans play their first game in their new digs on Saturday, September 14th against the Doane University Tigers.

The original Memorial Stadium was opened in 1977.
