Nov. Elections Are Set In Hood County

(Granbury, Tx) – The filing period for November city and school elections in Hood County has ended and several incumbents are being challenged for re-election.

The Hood County News reports Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett is being challenged for the Place 1 seat by Joe Davis.  The Granbury City Council Place 2 seat is also up for grabs between Eddie Rodriquez and Lee Overstreet.

In the Granbury school board election, Bob Swearingen is running against incumbent Rhonda Rezsofi for the Place 7 seat.  Mark Jackson of Place 5 and Barbara Townsend of Place 6 have no challengers for their re-election bids.

In the city elections for Stockton Bend, incumbent aldermen Dean White, John Adcock and John Perfetto also drew no competitors.

All three incumbents in DeCordova have drawn opponents.  Mayor Todd Hall will face Dave Hanson, Kim Lewis of Place 4 will compete against Judy Cordell and Kathy Murray of Place 5 will run against Jim Gallman.

For the Tolar School Board, Justin Deaver of Place 7 is being challenged by Kacy Brown.  Three candidates are vying for the Place 6 seat – Wendy Bonnell, Wayne Wienecke and Cody Fletcher.  Dalton Nix of Place 5 drew no challenger in his bid for re-election.

On the Tolar City Council, all three incumbents with expiring terms, filed for re-election.  One has an opponent, John M. Agee will challenge Sally Grimes for the Place 2 seat.  The unchallenged incumbents are Matt Hutsell of Place 1 and Chip Foster of Place 3.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5th.
