Body Cam Video Released In FWPD Fatal Shooting

(Fort Worth, TX) — Body cam video of Wednesday’s officer-involved shooting in Fort Worth shows the suspect pointing a gun at police before they shot him.

The Fort Worth PD released the video of the fatal shooting on Thursday. The shooting happened late Wednesday afternoon on Boca Raton Boulevard near Greenspoint Drive in East Fort Worth. The officers wanted to talk with 18-year-old Amari Malone, described as a person of interest in a murder that happened earlier this month. Malone ran from them, but then pulled a gun, and officers opened fire.

He died at a hospital.
