(Burleson, Tx) – Members of the Burleson community held a candlelight vigil last night at Centennial High School’s baseball field for a player killed tragically this week in a car accident.

Centennial Senior Dawson Barnes died Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on Hidden Creek Parkway in Burleson.  According to police, Barnes was traveling westbound when he veered to the left, struck two oncoming vehicles and then a light pole.  Barnes played baseball for the Spartans.

Burleson ISD had just gone back to school on Monday.
