(Joshua, Tx) – Joshua Mayor Kenny Robinson has resigned from his position with the city effective immediately.
In a letter addressed to city officials and the Joshua City Council, Robinson said the needs of the residents and the “wants of the city manager and members of the city council are at a difference.” Robinson went on to say that the stress from the differences has caused him health issues. Robinson, who’s 59, was just sworn in last June after defeating former Mayor, Joe Hollarn, who was seeking his fourth term.
The city says Councilman Jerry Moore will take over the duties of the mayor until an election for the seat is held, which will occur in November at the earliest.
