(Granbury, Tx) – The City of Granbury has earned the designation of a Film Friendly Texas community by the Texas Film Commission.

To get the moniker, Granbury had to complete the multi-step training and certification process, which helps to grow local jobs and local economies by promoting the Lone Star State as the premier destination for film, television, commercial, animation, visual effects and video game production.

Governor Greg Abbott issued a statement saying “I congratulate the City of Granbury on earning the Film Friendly Texas designation…. creating jobs for Texas-based crew members and local residents as well as spurring on-site spending at local small businesses.”

Granbury joins more than 130 Film Friendly Texas communities.
