(Fort Worth, TX) — A school resource officer at Keller’s Central High School is recovering from an injury he suffered in a scuffle with a student on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Keller ISD says the officer and an “unruly” student fought in an office area of the school. The officer suffered a broken ankle in the altercation and was taken to the hospital but is expected to be ok. During the scuffle the 16-year-old student was tased by the officer, he was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for observation.
The school was put on a brief lockdown during the incident.
