Arlington Hospital Pays $200,000 After Lawsuit

(Arlington, TX) — An Arlington mental health hospital that faced 26 charges is avoiding trial.

Sundance Hospital has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge that claimed a patient was illegally detained for weeks after judges ordered her release. The hospital has agreed to pay a 200-thousand-dollar fine if Tarrant County agreed not to charge the hospital’s owners and to waive the other 25 charges.
