(Baytown, TX) —  Greenpeace USA protesters caused part of the closure of the Houston Ship Channel Thursday morning.

The demonstrators used ropes to dangle from the top of the Fred Hartman Bridge in Baytown.  The group posted on Twitter they were shutting down the ship channel to resist President Trump and the oil industry.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Dept said the protesters will be charged with obstructing the road and waterway.
