(Granbury, Tx) – Hood County Commissioners have given the green-light to a request from Sheriff Roger Deeds to seek grant funding from the state to put cameras in the jail’s 20 segregated cells.

According to the Hood County News, there are many cameras in the jail, but no cameras in those particular cells.  Deeds said that segregated cells are checked every 15 minutes, but the cameras would provide an extra layer of security against suicide attempts.
