(Arlington, TX) — A high school student in Arlington is in trouble after police caught him with a realistic-looking fake gun in his backpack on Monday.
The 15-year-old student at Lamar High School was reportedly overheard telling another student that he had a gun. Officers investigated and found the fake weapon. The chief of the Arlington PD tweeted out a picture of the mock weapon on Monday evening.
Chief Will Johnson said laws about fake guns should be toughened, but until then, the replicas don’t belong in school.
