Fort Worth Makes It Easier To Clear Out Homeless Camps

(Fort Worth, TX) — A new Fort Worth ordinance requires homeless people to have written permission in order to camp on private property.

The city council unanimously approved the ordinance, which will make it easier for police to shut down homeless camps in the city.  Fort Worth property owners have been complaining about people camping on their lots.  Mostly it happens to absentee landowners or to people who live on an acre or more.

Anybody caught camping without written permission from the property owner will be fined $500.
