(Dallas, TX) — The Department of Justice is charging 58 people in North Texas, including six doctors, with health care fraud.
U.S. Assistant Attorney General Brian Benczkowski made the announcement in Dallas on Wednesday. He said investigators have stopped fraud cases that have cost Americans 66-million-dollars. In addition to the six doctors, the Department of Justice is also charging seven pharmacists. Several of the doctors, pharmacies and medical supply companies involved in the scam are located in Fort Worth and Arlington.
Many of the cases involve opioids.
